DON'T DRIVE AFTER DRINKING –  CALL AAA'S TIPSY TOW

NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, May 23 – Motorists who feel unsafe behind the wheel after drinking are encouraged to call AAA and use their Tipsy Tow service over the long Memorial Day weekend.

The auto club will tow the motorist’s vehicle home and give up to two people a ride as well, free of charge. The service is open to everyone, AAA members as well as non-members.

Tipsy Tow starts at 6 p.m. this Friday, May 27 and runs until 2 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31 in metropolitan Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lawton, Shawnee, Muskogee, Bartlesville and Enid.

“Sometimes on holiday weekends, we do things and make choices we wouldn’t at other times during the year,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “Deciding to drink and drive is always the wrong choice and now with Tipsy Tow, drivers have an option. This way, both the vehicle and the driver get home safely.”

To call for Tipsy Tow, dial (800) AAA-HELP (222-4357) and ask for Tipsy Tow. AAA will come and get the vehicle and the motorist, no questions asked, and give them both a free ride home.
