LATEST VACATION NEWS TO BE UNVEILED AT AAA CRUISE AND TRAVEL SHOWS IN TULSA AND OKC

NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, Jan. 9 – Vacation and travel experts from around the country will present their latest 2009 getaway information and travel incentives at AAA Oklahoma’s cruise and travel shows this month in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

“With the economy in the doldrums, travel providers are offering better and better deals to entice folks to travel,” said Krista Mullenger, vice president of Travel, AAA Oklahoma. “These special shows will provide some great opportunities for Oklahomans to save some real money on 2009 trips and vacations.”       

The Tulsa show is Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills Hotel, 1902 E. 71st St.

The Oklahoma City show is Sunday, Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, 3501 Quail Creek Rd.

Representatives of eight cruise lines will be on hand to offer advice and information as well as details of their 2009 offers: Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Norwegian, Celebrity, Carnival, and Princess, as well as Uniworld Grand River Cruises.

In addition, representatives of these destinations and travel companies will be present: Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Adventures Disney, Pleasant Holidays (Tulsa only), Trafalgar, Travel Impressions, NWA World Vacations, Insight Vacations (Oklahoma City only) and Tauck World Discovery.

Exclusive “show only” travel offers and discounts will be available and AAA travel agents will be on hand to assist, although you do not need to be a AAA member to attend and reservations are not required.

Cruise line and travel company representatives will reveal their 2009 travel packages and special travel incentives. Also, door prizes will be given away. Admission is $2.00 for AAA members and $4.00 for non-members.
