AAA offers “Hot Deals on Cool Vacations” May 11-16 and an exciting Virtual Travel Show on Tuesday, May 12

Nation’s largest leisure travel agency teams with leading cruise, hotel and tour providers to keep America traveling this summer and beyond.

NEWS from AAA Oklahoma, May 4 – The operator of the nation’s largest leisure travel network, AAA Travel, is turning up the heat for summer travel by encouraging Oklahomans to book special vacation bargains during the week of May 11.

Many of the world’s top cruise, lodging and tour providers are teaming up with AAA for this limited-time opportunity and several are offering exclusive savings or benefits to AAA members.  Deals are available on worldwide travel, weekend getaways, themed-attractions, rental cars and train travel.

“This AAA event is a great way for travelers to find out about some of the really good bargains out there right now,” said Krista Mullenger, vice president of AAA Oklahoma Travel. “We like it because when Americans travel, it helps America’s economy. That trickle down effect is amazing.”

AAA Virtual Travel Show will showcase offers and educate consumers

To learn about the special savings and benefits available on travel booked with AAA, visit AAA club offices or log on to www.aaa.com/savingsevent. Offers are good on travel booked Monday, May 11 through Saturday, May 16.

The Virtual Travel Show on May 12 will allow consumers to interact with AAA Travel professionals, preferred cruise lines and travel providers in a virtual expo hall, watch live presentations on a variety of travel topics and chat with other AAA members in an online lounge. The virtual travel show also allows visitors to book their next vacation. The show runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12.

Special drawings for great prizes will be held during the event, including a vacation stay at Starwood Hotels and Resorts and round-trip airfare for two on Continental Airlines.

Four special seminars for travelers will be offered during AAA’s Virtual Travel Show

In addition to learning about the hot deals AAA and its partners are offering on the coolest vacations, Oklahomans who log in to AAA’s Virtual Travel Show the evening of May 12 can also participate in live seminars conducted by leading travel experts during the show. The seminars are:
